Fruits, Vegetables and Herbs Used For Eye Problems (cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration)

Research shows that the risk of eye problems decreases with a high antioxidant diet and lots of vitamin C.

Your omega fatty acids 3,6,9 are also important for eye health. I like Udo's brand oil(vegetable based) or Nordic Naturals (fish oil based). Both are available in liquid or capsule form.

If you juice antioxidant & vitamin C rich fruits and veggies and add some omegas, you might find that it helps your eye problems.

Fruits and vegetables to juice daily for healthy eyes:

Apricots, Blackberries, Blueberries, Citrus, Cranberries, Grapes, Mangoes, Peachs, Raspberries, Strawberries, Watermelon, Asparagus, Avocado, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Green and Red Peppers, Leafy Greens, Pumpkin, Squash, Sweet Potatoes, Tomatoes, Watercress

Herbs to juice or take in tincture form in juice:

Dandelion Leaf, Garlic, Ginger, Ginkgo, Parsley, Rosemary, Tumeric

Recipes for eye problems

Citrus Kiwi
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 2 oranges
  • 3 kiwi
  • 6 sprigs of parsley

High Antioxidants

  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • 1 slice of watermelon
  • 1/4 cup of cranberries

Carrot Juice

  • 7 - 8 long carrots

Add an apple if you like it sweeter! Nothing beats a juice for the eyes like straight carrot juice.
