Fruits, Vegetables and Herbs used for Gout
Gout is caused by excess production of uric acid, usually deposited into joints, fingers and toes. It may be caused by excess alcohol, meat or rich foods as many people find it seems to bring on or aggrivate this condition.
If you have gout, try laying off of the rich and heavy foods including all processed foods.
A simple change in diet can lead to no more flare-ups! My father has this and has had great success with juicing cherries.
One of my favorite herbs to use for this is Spikenard. If you have flare ups frequently definitely keep Spikenard on hand in tincture form. Nettle also is very effective.
Add it to fresh cherry juice and sip it until symptoms are gone. You can always get store bought cherry juice but fresh is always the best as it has not been pasturized and has not lost it's important vitamins and enzymes that are needed to alliviate these symptoms.
