Because Halloween’s colors are orange and black….it’s a great time to juice anything and everything orange. There’s not much, if anything, that you could juice that would come out black. Grape juices, purple carrots and a few others make a dark purple juice (which I suppose it sort of Halloween-y).
I prefer to stick to orange colored juices & smoothies for this day.
They are a great idea for your parties too, just make sure they don’t sit around too long or they’ll oxidize. The best fruits and veggies to make a rich orange colored juice are: oranges, carrots & cantaloupe. These three mixed together aren’t so bad. But these below are tried and tested to be good!
Try looking in a party store for themed glasses to serve your juice in. A half clear/half black glass would look really cook if you could find it!
Cut the rind off of the cantaloupe and juice. Then juice the carrots. Mix together and pour in a glass.
This juice is a staple at many juice bars. If you can’t make your own at home, you could go out for a trip to a local juicer and get a glass of this, just to celebrate and have fun!
Peel the orange and juice. Juice the carrots. Mix together, pour in a glass and enjoy.
Papaya is super good for your digestion. Great for a dessert or nighttime snack. This smoothie is more of a light colored orange. Add a carrot for more color.
½ pineapple(rind cut off)
½ papaya (pulp only, not skin)
A few tablespoons of yogurt
1/3 cup of water or a few ice cubes(if you want it thick)
1 tablespoon of honey
Prepare the produce and put all ingredients into a high powered blender. Blend a few seconds until smooth and pour into a tall glass.
