I find that while juicing and then blending whole fruit makes a great drink, the easiest way to make a smoothie is to make one by blending frozen fruits and vegetables with water or a milk.

The recipe & preparing your ingredients when learning how to make smoothies
Before you start to make a smoothie, you’ll want to pick a recipe.
Once you know what you are making, get all produce and cut it up into pieces. Prep it all. If you are using frozen fruit, just measure it out according to the recipe. If it calls for a nut butter or yogurt, measure out the amount you want to put into the recipe. The beauty of smoothies is that it’s hard to make a bad one. If you have extra or less then a recipe calls for, it usually doesn’t matter. This is how you come up with your own.
How to make smoothies
Once you have all of your ingredients, place it all in the blender. Turn the blender on, and process until smooth. If your blender has come to a halt, chances are you’ll need to add more liquid. You can add more water or milk of choice to the blender. A lot of people like to make their own almond or nut milk. You might also need to stop the blender and scrape down the sides periodically to ensure it all gets blended in your drink. If you like a lighter drink, add more liquid, if you like it thick, add less.
Once your drink is fully blended, immediately pour it into a glass. I think a straw is a nice touch for a fun drink. Smoothies taste much better and have a higher nutritional content when you consume them immediately after they are made. They can keep safely for a few hours if you need it for an on-the-go meal.
