Lean Green Health Machine

So this is my take on the Mean Green Juice recipe. I altered it due to convenience on what I had in my fridge. It turned out really well... and delicious!

  • 1 cucumber

  • 3 large Kale leafs (I included the stem too)

  • 2 celery stalks

  • 1 cup (or handful) of spinach

  • 1 apple

  • 1 pear

  • 1/2 lemon (I didn't leave the rind on, but you could)

  • 1 small knob (about 1/2 inch or so) of ginger root

FYI, if you have a centrifugal juicer, I suggest alternating between the hard fruits/veggies and the leafy veggies. This will help extract the most juice from the leafy greens. I juiced the pulp again for more yield, and it was definitely worth it. Especially with the leafy greens!

Thank you! This turned out really good...though I skip the pear sometimes. The quantities are just right!
