Losing Weight

Q: Hello, I'm Ashley. I'm a new juicer! I lost 4 lbs over night and all together 7 lbs in 4 days, it seems now that the weight is not coming off. I've been doing this for 5 days. Why do you think I stopped losing?

And wow, it seems to me that you've lost a good bit of weight already. 7 pounds is 4 days is great! Sometimes when we lose weight, we lose a lot at first. Then we plateau for a little, and then go back to losing weight. It can be due to a number of factors. Perhaps your body was cleansing out some water weight and fecal matter the first few days (a natural benefit of juicing!). Or it was just quickly responding to the reduction of calories. Most people do not lose weight each day they are on a diet. It takes time and persistance. Jump start more weight loss with exercise and just watching your calories (not sure if you are fasting or eating and just supplementing with juice).
Either way, I wouldn't worry to much that you didn't lose anything on day five. It's just one day! Give your body a chance to lose it. You don't want to be too agressive with weight loss, your goals should be healthy weight loss. Good luck and congrats on the pounds you lost so far!
