Fruits, Vegetables and Herbs Used For Diarrhea

Diarrhea can really reek havoc on your day! It is an inflammation of the bowel caused by an infection, food allergies or intolerances, or by malfunctions of the digestive system.

It's a sign that either something has to get out of your body or that your digestive system is not working properly.

Juicing can help by providing nutrients to restore your system and remove any bacteria or virus.

I find that aloe vera gel mixed with some fresh juice work well. Slippery elm bark tincture can be added to the juice as it is quick working!

Fruits and vegetables to juice:

Apples, Bananas, Lemon, Lime, Carrots, Potatoes, Aloe

Herbs to juice or add to juice in tincture form:

Cardamom, German Chamomile, Fennel Seeds, Ginger, Lemon Balm, Meadowsweet, Nutmeg, Raspberry Leaves, *Slippery Elm Bark*

Some good recipes...

A berry smoothie

  • 3/4 cup of pineapple juice
  • 3 tbsp of natural yogurt
  • 1 cup of fresh or frozen berries
  • 1 banana

Aloe-apple soother

  • 2 apples
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/3 cup of fresh aloe vera juice

Juice the apples and carrot and mix a good quality aloe vera juice in a cup. If you have it, mix some slippery elm bark tincture with the juice.
