Juicing grapes provide antioxidants, anti-viral and anti-cancer benefits

Health benefits of Grapes

Grapes contain ellagic and caffeic acids with deactivate carcinogens. Flavanoids in grape juice have heart protective effects. They are also a good source of potassium. Resveratrol, found in red wine and grape juice, have a protective effective on the cardiovascular system.

For juicing

There are many types of grapes. Some favorite varieties for juicing are thompson seedless, concord, red and green seedless. All are okay to juice, and taste delicious.

Juice grapes that are washed well as pesticides and dirt can really stick to the skin. I find that soaking them in water with vinegar for a little while works well. Juice whole with seeds and skin intact.

Choose bunches that are firm and a clear skin with good color.

Use pulp in smoothies and blended drinks.
