Laryngitis is an inflammation of the vocal cords that may be associated with a cold or infection, or most likey, excessive use of the voice.
The thing that seems to work best for most people is allowing your voice to rest...and yes, lots of water with lemon juice & honey to soothe :)

Garlic, Ginger, Sage, Thyme
