Salsa Pulp Recipes

The key to making salsa pulp recipes is not using too much pulp. This is by far the easiest way to use your pulp.

It can be a great flavor and fiber addition to your normal recipe. If you already have a recipe that you like, just add about 1 tablespoon of veggie pulp to about 1 cup of salsa. If you think it could use more, then try adding more.

If you rather not experiment, here are the pulp recipes that have been kitchen tested.

P.S.- Add any pulp to store bought salsa if you don't have time to make your own.





Traditional Red Tomato Salsa Pulp Recipe



2 large tomatoes, chopped
1 onion chopped
½ cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, minced
½ to 1 cup of tomato or veggie pulp (from a veggie juice-ex celery, carrot, cucumber, pepper, tomato)
1 tablespoon of like juice
Salt and pepper to taste
1 jalapeno pepper, minced

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Serve with chips, crackers or on top of a protein dish.

Guacamole Salsa



3 large avocados, chopped and mashed
1 large onion chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
Juice of 2 limes
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tomatoes, chopped
½ cup of tomato or veggie pulp

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Serve with chips, crackers or on top of a protein dish.

Papaya Salsa Pulp Recipe



Great for a tuna steak or to top a chicken dish.
1 papaya
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 tablespoon of fresh grated ginger
1 handful of cilantro chopped
Juice of three limes, and finely grated zest
Salt and black pepper
1/3 cup of vegetable pulp (such as tomato, celery, carrot)

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Serve with chips, crackers or on top of a protein dish.

Asian Pesto



1 cup of mint chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 stalks of lemongrass, chopped
2 teaspoons of fish sauce
1 tablespoon of lime juice
3 cups of cilantro
¼ cup of any citrus pulp (orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit)

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Serve with chips, crackers or on top of a protein dish.

Mango Apple and Black Bean Salsa



4 mango chopped
1 apple chopped into little pieces
1 can/15 oz of black beans
½ cup of chopped cilantro
Pepper and salt
¼ cup of apple pulp

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Serve with chips, crackers or on top of a protein dish.

Green Apple Salsa



3 green bell peppers
1 cup of chopped green beans
8 inches of cucumber
Large handful of chopped scallions
Juice of 1-2 oranges
2 granny smith apples diced
Large bunch of mint, finely chopped
Salt and black pepper
¼ cup of apple pulp

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Serve with chips, crackers or on top of a protein dish.

Corn Chili Salsa



2 fresh ears of corn, chopped from cob
2 red bell peppers chopped
2 long red chilies
1 red onion
2 garlic cloves
Two tablespoons of chopped cilantro
¼ cup of either carrot or tomato pulp(or both)

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Serve with chips, crackers or on top of a protein dish.
